Friday 29 April 2016International flights to bring closer ties with New Zealand capital Wellington

New opportunities for economic and cultural exchange between Canberra and Wellington are expected to result from direct international flights connecting the capitals from September. The Mayor of the City of Wellington, Ms Celia Wade-Brown is visiting Canberra to discuss the opportunities resulting from the new flights that will connect the capital cities of Australia and New Zealand. Monday 18 April 2016China and Asia opportunities to flow via Singapore

Direct flights between Singapore and Canberra will open up significant new trade, investment, education and tourism opportunities from China and Asia. During his visit to Shanghai, Chief Minister Andrew Barr MLA met with senior representatives from Singapore Airlines (North Asia and China) and Tourism Australia's representative for North Asia to discuss growing Canberra's inbound tourism market from China through Singapore Airlines' direct flights which start in September. Wednesday 13 April 2016New support for Canberra businesses moving into key overseas markets

Canberra professionals have a new network to help them move into key overseas markets under a new initiative launched as part of the Chief Minister's trade mission to Singapore. 

The Canberra International Support Network is a new Canberra Business Chamber (CBC) initiative for Canberra businesses to share knowledge and opportunities. The first Canberra International Support Network will focus on Singapore, with other trade partners to follow.
