ACT NAIDOC Business of the Year Award

The ACT NAIDOC Committee is proud to announce a new partnership with the ACT Economic Development Directorate.

We know there are a range of great Indigenous owned and operated businesses in the ACT and we want to recognise you.

Who can apply?

Any business that is at least 50 per cent Indigenous owned, is registered and operating as a business in the ACT. You will need to provide the names and contact details of two referees when you nominate.

What is needed to nominating your business

You’ll need to provide background information on the business or enterprise activity and demonstrate excellence including:

  • The overriding vision of the business.
  • Its major achievements thus far.
  • Who the operators are and a little on their personal histories.
  • Strategies that have changed the image of the business in Indigenous and mainstream communities.
  • Obstacles you’ve needed to overcome to reach the business’s goals.

Judging

Winners will be chosen by an independent panel including representatives of the ACT Economic Development Directorate. The judges’ decision will be final.

Making your submission

Send an email to Katrina.fanning@y7mail.com by close of business on 28 June 2013. Make sure to cover the criteria above and any interesting facts on your business!
