Random Computing Services has seen steady growth and a variety of business opportunities since gaining local and national recognition as a finalist at the 2010 ACT Export Awards.

Director, Jed Johnson, said winning the Awards had not only served to lend credibility to his company’s services, it had allowed Random Computing Services to establish itself as a leader in its industry.

“Following the win, we gained some valuable company image promotion,” Mr Johnson said.

“This meant better exposure for the company through public channels, but also gave us opportunities to connect with other business interested in our industry.

“We were even approached by a smaller company for help and mentoring, which we gladly provided. On the whole, I feel that the win, along with other recognition we have been fortunate enough to be awarded, has established the company as a leader in its field.”

Mr Johnson said the application process was simple and that the rewards where very useful in making the path to success that little bit easier. He said every aspect of the business saw improvement, and even though it was hard to measure, was sure being a finalist in 2010 helped the business find success.

“Every aspect of the company is recognised when you win an award like this. Your staff, your clients and everyone in between is recognised for their hard work and dedication. It also confirms that your business is on the right track, which is great not only for attracting business, but also a good thing for every employee to know.”

The ACT Chief Minister's Export Awards are an initiative of the ACT Government, managed and delivered by the Canberra Business Council.
