Cooperative Research Centres, generally known as CRCs, bring together researchers from universities, government laboratories and private industry. CRCs cover long-term, collaborative research and development of very substantial quality and size that contribute to national objectives. SITCRC is a national joint venture organisation whose focus is to capitalise the outcomes of world class Internet research and development for Australia by supporting the research, information and people needs of players in the Internet sector. The SITCRC will combine research in Artificial Intelligence, Social Interaction and Network Development to create enabling technologies for smart Internet applications that will allow users and network providers to manage this complexity. The Alliance Program provides SME's with an opportunity to engage with the SITCRC and take advantage of up to date, relevant, in depth information essential to support their Internet investment decisions.
