WOMEN IN GLOBAL BUSINESS NETWORK

Austrade and each State and Territory have recently signed an agreement to bring together women involved in international trade and development through a network that will provide support, information, advice and international connections. The objective of the network is to increase female participation in international trade. This network will build on Austrade’s Women in Global Business Program.

This initiative will provide the ACT’s women exporters with access to a targeted program, with local support through Business and Industry Development’s involvement with the National Steering Committeeand funding for the Network’s first year. This will enable the ACT to leverage existing programs, networks and knowledge, as well as participate in the establishment of new initiatives, including a planned website.
