BUSINESS IN FOCUS MONTH SEPTEMBER 2011 - CANBERRA, THE CREATIVE CITY

Business and Industry Development invites organisations that offer services to business in the ACT, to host an event as part of the third Business In Focus Month this September.

Business In Focus Month is a program of events to engage ACT businesses in activities and information exchange that help them develop new skills to accelerate growth and development. This year Business In Focus Month will explore the topic of creativity as a key to business growth and success.

Canberra has a concentration of creative talent and expertise spanning different sectors, mediums, media, technology and applications. Underlying Canberra's visable face of art and culture is a growing creative industry with great variety, expert skills and boundless energy. But creativity isn't only for outwardly creative or arts based businesses.

Capitalising on creativity is a great way to help every business reach its potential. A creative culture can help business growth, enhance productivity, improve customer service and provide opportunities for staff to connect their job with their passions. The calendar of events for September 2011 will be available on www.business.act.gov.au from mid-July.
