The Australian National University has hosted the National Youth Science Forum during January. The Forum consists of two twelve-day residential programs for students moving into Year 12 who are thinking about a career in science, engineering and technology.

The Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education is now calling for applications from potential consortia seeking to establish a Cooperative Research Centre (CRC). To assist potential consortia understand the CRC program and details of the 15th selection round, including the priority areas for this round, the Department is conducting a series of 3-hour information sessions throughout Australia.

Canberra’s strong economy and low unemployment continues to contribute to skill shortages in Canberra. The ACT Government’s suite of initiatives to combat this shortage includes the promotion of employment opportunities in Canberra to international workers with the right skills.

Australian CleanTech is calling for interested companies to express their interest in becoming a member of the Cleantech Industry Capability Teams. The national Teams will provide a mechanism for diverse cleantech companies to effectively collaborate in their dealings with these customer groups, with an aim of increasing sales of products and services to customers.

CeBIT Australia returns for its 11th consecutive year from 22 - 24 May at Sydney's Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour. CeBIT is the leading business event in the Asia Pacific region for Information and Communications Technology.
ACT companies may be eligible for financial support to exhibit at CeBIT through the TradeConnect Program.
