Kord Defence announced in January that its mobile device interface technology has been selected for evaluation by the U.S. Department of Defense. If successful, the local company will be positioned for substantial export sales to the USA. In this announcement, Kord Defence said that "development of the technology would not have been made possible without the financial support of Commercialisation Australia, the Commonwealth and ACT Government".
Kord Defence was awarded a series of ACT Government TradeConnect (TCon) grants in 2009/10. Since then the company has continued to grow and has begun forging its name in the USA.
Kord Defence is commercialising a new interface technology for controlling mobile devices, with one hand, under any condition and without always having to look at a screen. Kord Defence is a subsidiary of a larger privately owned company, KordTech.
