COMMONWEALTH STATES AND TERRITORIES ADVISORY COUNCIL ON INNOVATION MEETING

State and Territory representatives attended the Commonwealth States and Territories Advisory Council on Innovation (CSTACI) Meeting in December 2010. The meeting was an opportunity for each state and territory to seek input or provide updates on new and existing programs and initiatives. Other issues discussed included:

  • The Australian Centre for Renewable Energy;
  • Enhancing International Business to Business Collaboration;
  • the Inspiring Australia Initiative;
  • the next Co-operative Research Centre Selection Round;
  • Research Workforce Strategy;
  • Implementation of the Framework of Principles for Innovation Initatives;
  • CSTACI Working Group on Innovation Indicators;
  • Strategic Approach to Research Infrastructure; and
  • The Joint Working Group on the Australian Synchrotron Future Funding and Governance
