NEW INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CAPABILITY REGISTER

The ACT CollabIT Committee has secured funding from the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (DISSR) to develop a capability register which will benefit all of its members. The system will further enhance CollabIT's work as an "honest broker" and assist all CollabIT members to source new business partners and subject matter experts. Work on the project will be undertaken by a taskforce comprising CollabIT member companies. The system will be operational by mid-2011 and is the pilot for a national ICT capability register.

The ACT CollabIT Committee has also secured DIISR funding (through the IT Supplier Advocate program) to undertake sales readiness training for its members. Training will be pitched at three levels to cater for the different skills set requirements of members.

CollabIT is an engagement and business development initiative that links small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) with multi-national corporations (MNCs) and other stakeholders in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector.  In the ACT, CollabIT is funded by the ACT Government through Business and Industry Development.
