AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRY PARTICIPATION FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT
The Australian Government is leading a consultation process with the states and territories to review and update the Australian Industry Participation Framework. The framework directs jurisdictions in their procurements over threshold levels to maximise Australian content and industry participation. The AIP is a Federal Election Commitment and state and territory industry/innovation ministers agreed to update their commitments at the last Ministerial Council in December 2009. Business and Industry Development met with Australian Government officials in November to discuss the Framework's implementation in the ACT.
