The Skilled and Business Migration (SBM) unit recently met with the ACT Public Service Human Resources Council (ACTPS HR Council) to discuss SMB support in regards to recruiting overseas skilled workers to address skills shortages within the ACT Public Service. The meeting focused on visa applications and settlement services. A fact sheet outlining the different visa pathways (Government nomination 176 visas and employer sponsored temporary and permanent work visas) was provided to the ACTPS HR Council.
The ACTPS HR Council was established in 2001 to provide information, advice and contribute to strategy for the whole of the ACT Public Service in all aspects of human resource. More information on the Council can be found on the Chief Minister's Department website
