CONTINUED CONTACT WITH VIRGINIA STATE

Local company, Beyond Business Connections, has expanded its relationship with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) following the Trade Mission to Washington last year.

The VEDP International Investment Manager, Grant Cothran, was in Canberra last month to talk with five targeted ACT companies.

Grant also met with representatives from the Business and Industry Development Branch to explain the activities of the current Top 300 Campaign that Beyond Business Connections is coordinating on behalf of the VEDP.

As part of the campaign, Beyond Business Connections have identified companies in Auckland, Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra. Of the 23 companies visited by Grant and Peter Askew of Beyond Business Connections, 10 companies have been invited to participate and benefit from the significant support being provided by the Virginian Government to assist in their successful launch into the USA market.

Beyond Business Connections is actively supporting the four Canberra based companies in their participation for the Virginian business growth program scheduled for March 2010. Given the resources being provided by Virginia for these companies, it is expected that great results will be achieved by these companies in this exciting campaign.
