EDUCATION TRADE MISSION TO SHANGHAI

Following on from the ACT Government-led trade mission to China in July, preparations are under way for an Education Mission to Shanghai and Guangzhou in September led by Minister Andrew Barr.

The Mission will begin on 13 September in Shanghai, and delegates will take part in the Government’s final VIP dinner event at the Shanghai Expo as part of its Silver sponsorship. The dinner will incorporate a leadership innovation challenge managed by Yellow Edge in partnership with the China Executive Leadership Academy, Pudong (CELAP) and the ACT Government. The ACT will be represented by three young leaders from the community, public and private sectors.

The Mission will then travel to Guangzhou for participation in the China SME Fair, where the ACT will have a significant education stand.

The delegation comprises seven participants from the following six organisations:

  • Academy of Interactive Entertainment;
  • ACT Centre for Professional Studies;
  • ACT Department of Education and Training;
  • ACT Education and Training Pty Ltd;
  • Canberra Institute of Technology; and
  • University of Canberra.
