Business In Focus Month 2010, the annual program of business events for the ACT, is here – more than 50 events will be presented throughout the month, and 34 event partners are on board to present them. Some highlight events are included below, and be sure to check out the online calendar of events for the full program of events.
Throughout Business In Focus Month, local businesses can take advantage of events to access information, skills and service providers to build better businesses. The theme this year is Connect, Create and Grow, designed to help small businesses connect with the local community, create new business opportunities and prepare for growth.
Planned events cover topics such as marketing small business, tips for small business on accounting and superannuation, staff training and staff retention, sustainability and OHS issues.
The program includes highlight events such as the Launch of the Month; the ACT Chief Minister’s Export Awards; Pathways to Success; the Small and Micro Business Forum will be back to discuss building human resource capability; a forum titled ‘Going Green - What’s in it for You?’, and a Finale networking event.
Sponsors of Business in Focus Month 2010 include The Canberra Times, Austrade, B2B in Canberra Magazine and the Canberra Institute of Technology.
