2010 ACT TELSTRA BUSINESS AWARDS WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Winners of the 2010 ACT Telstra Business Awards were announced at a ceremony on 7 July.
The ACT’s Telstra Business of the Year is Stratsec, a Deakin-based information security consulting, testing and research services business. Beginning with a staff of just three, Stratsec now employs more than 40 permanent staff in Australia and Asia.
Other awards included:
- Micro-Business Award—Makin Trax Australia, which developed the Stromlo Forest Park mountain bike track
- Small Business Award—Today's Homes & Lifestyle Pty Ltd, a home building business
- Medium Business Award—Stratsec
- Innovation Award—Viridis E3, a consultancy firm with an interest in environmentally sustainable design and development processes
- Social Responsibility Award—Richard Luton Properties, which has raised funds for charities over the past seven years through an annual Ball and charity auctions, and which has been involved in volunteer work.
The ACT Telstra Business Awards recognise businesses with up to 100 employees.
The winners will represent the ACT at the National Telstra Business Awards to be held in August 2010.
