SCOPING THE ROLE OF INDUSTRY CAPABILITY NETWORK SECTOR MANAGERS

With input from ACT representatives, the Industry Capability Network (ICN) has made progress towards establishing a working model/scope for its newly appointed National Sector Managers (formerly known as Domain Sector Specialists.)

Representatives from the ACT Government’s Business and Industry Development Unit participated in a two-day conference in Canberra that worked towards the development of business plans that identify pathways to more effective relationships between companies, key government agencies (Austrade, AusIndustry, Enterprise Connect) and ICN to ultimately create greater opportunities for local companies.

National Sector Managers will also work closely with the DIISR appointed Supplier Advocates to better coordinate a national approach to industry development.

National Sector Managers have been appointed to several key industry sectors – Water, Rail, NBN Co., Clean Technologies, Oil and Gas, Hospitals and Health – to deepen their knowledge of supplier capacity and the needs of industry.

ICN helps businesses of all sizes across all industry sectors access local, international and project opportunities by matching their capability with the requirements of purchasers and project/procurement managers. For more information contact:
