TWO TRADE MISSIONS TO CHINA

Two ACT trade missions to China in 2010 are set to capitalise on the Territory’s strong presence at the Shanghai World Expo as a Silver Sponsor of the Australian Pavilion. As with previous missions, the ACT Government will coordinate and lead the delegations.

Education trade mission in September

Expressions of interest have just closed for the Education Canberra – ACT Government Business Mission to China in mid-September.

The ACT Government, in conjunction with Austrade, has invited Canberra-based education and training institutions and businesses to express interest in the mission to Shanghai and Guangzhou, which will include the Shanghai World Expo and China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair 2010. Australia, through Austrade, is the sole co-host of the Fair and the mission is a unique opportunity to take a closer look at opportunities in this dynamic market.

Led by the ACT Minister for Education and Training, Andrew Barr MLA, the mission will leverage the ACT Government’s involvement as a Silver Sponsor of the Australian Pavilion. A Canberra-hosted VIP event will be held in the Australian Pavilion, courtesy of the ACT Government’s sponsorship benefits.
