RIESLING CHALLENGE WINS CONTINUED GOVERNMENT SPONSORSHIP

The ACT Government is to continue its sponsorship of the Canberra International Riesling Challenge for a further three years following this year’s event in October. The sponsorship will be to the value of $12,000 a year.

The International Riesling Challenge attracts wines from Riesling-producing countries around the world, and is the most significant event of its type in the southern hemisphere. Last year’s Challenge attracted a record number of entries, breaking the 500 barrier for the first time, including a large number of entries from a total of 10 other countries.
