INTRODUCING A NEW ONLINE SERVICE FOR BUSINESS
Business and Industry Development continues its involvement in delivering a nationally coordinated online business service through involvement in the ABN/BN Project Inter-jurisdictional Business Online Services (BOS) Working Group and related project groups.
A new whole-of-government online service delivering information about licenses, registrations, permits and assistance to business will be brought together in one place from all levels of government.
- Through online tools, this whole-of-government service will give businesses customised information about their regulatory requirements, simplifying business start-up and saving existing businesses valuable time.
- An online account for managing ongoing business interactions with all levels of government will also be available.
- The account will allow businesses to take control of their regulatory activities online 24/7 and to save time through the pre-filling and submitting of forms online.
- Businesses will be able to access registrations, monitor their compliance requirements and receive updates on regulatory changes, news of business development opportunities and other information.
- The functions of the online account will continue to develop into the future, increasing the service’s convenience and usefulness for businesses.
- These new services are part of a series of reforms to streamline and integrate business registrations and regulatory interactions with government.
BOS will be delivered over several Releases beginning with the national Business Licensing Information Service (Sep to Dec 2010) and an online client account (March 2011).
