A seminar was held on 16 February 2010 for local business decision makers. The seminar focused on how accessing government support can help businesses at various stages on their pathway to success. More than 100 business people attended the seminar at the Canberra Business Events Centre.
Ross Solly of 666 ABC Canberra led a panel discussion with five local business people, who shared their business journey with attendees. The panel included: Carol Cooke, Director CIC Group; Nunzio Gambale, Chief Executive Officer, Locata; Alex Mair, Managing Director, Lucy Media; Dr Ed Roberts, General Manager, Australian Scientific Instruments; and Dr Joshua Young, Triple Think. The panel noted how support programs have given them a step up, or accelerated aspects of their business growth. They also provided attendees with tips on how to access the wide variety of business support programs available to local businesses.
Representatives from Business and Industry Development, ANU Connect Ventures, AusIndustry, Austrade, Canberra BusinessPoint, Enterprise Connect and Lighthouse were on hand to provide information about their business support programs.
