SHANGHAI EXPO 2010 (1 MAY TO 31 OCTOBER 2009)
The Shanghai Expo Australian Pavilion was officially launched on 21 October 2009 at a media event hosted by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for sponsors and state and territory partners.
The ACT Government is a Silver Sponsor of the Australia Pavilion.
Mr Zhang Junsai, Ambassador to Australia of the People's Republic of China and the Minister for Trade, Mr Simon Crean, attended the event. The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Stephen Smith announced several key milestones achieved in preparation for Expo.
A dinner was also held at Parliament House for high level representatives including federal ministers whose portfolios are actively engaged in the business program.
