GIANT MAGELLAN TELESCOPE (GMT) PROJECT

The Industry Capability Network (ICN) (ACT) is continuing to assist the Giant Magellan Telescope Organisation to source suppliers for the GMT Project.

The mechanisms for registering and administering industry interest have been in place for several weeks on the ICN Project Gateway website.

Twenty two companies have already registered interest in supplying the Project. When taking the unique nature of the GMT project into consideration (particularly the absence of any civil works), as well as the limited number of companies believed to be operating within the industry, the rate of supplier registrations is very encouraging.
