After their record win in the 2008 NRL grand final (40:0), International Coach of the Year, Des Hasler, Head Coach of the Manly Sea Eagles, was quoted as saying: "GPSports played a big part in our 2008 success."

GPSports was founded in 2001 with the aim of developing tracking and analysis technologies to enable elite sporting organisations to undertake objective evaluations of player performance, both in training and competitive settings.

In 2009-10 more than 60 per cent of GPSports revenues were generated from export sales. GPSports has penetrated markets world wide including the UK, Europe, Aisa including China, Japan and Korea, South America and South Africa.
