For further information on business insurance requirements it is recommended that you contact an insurance broker.

It is compulsory for ALL employers in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) to have a current ACT workers compensation policy in place with an Approved Insurer

However it is strongly recommended that you consider business insurance such as public liability, professional indemnity and income protection insurance.

In some industries it is possible that these insurances are required before certain business licences can be granted e.g. Electricians or Builders Licences.
